BANCON Construction has announced senior appointments to its management team as the Aberdeenshire-based firm seeks to deliver new £12 million contracts and drive further growth

The construction division of Bancon Group has landed work for major projects for a car dealership and energy operator Total E&P UK. The contract with Total is for the refurbishment of its subsea building at Arnhall business park in Westhill.

The new recruits include commercial director Mark Dunlop and construction director Colin Mercer.

Gavin Currie, managing director of Bancon Construction Ltd said, “These contract wins, all competitively tendered, underline Bancon’s ability to manage diverse projects across different sectors cost-effectively.

“We are pleased to welcome Mark and Colin to the operational team. Between them they have many years of experience in the construction industry and have worked on a number of high-profile and landmark projects, so their knowledge and expertise will help us to ensure we continue to deliver first-class projects for our clients.

“Our newly strengthened team and these valued new contracts pave the way for continued growth in our construction business.”

Mark Dunlop has previously worked across civil engineering, housing, retail, commercial and hotel projects. He was previously commercial manager for the Aberdeen Sports Village project.
