Stewart Milne Group has had its commitment to high quality developments, safety and customer service recognised with four industry awards.

The company has won awards from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) and the National House Building Council (NHBC).

Stewart Milne Group has secured its sixth consecutive RoSPA gold award for occupational health and safety. In recognition of the six-year success RoSPA will present the company with the accolade of a Gold Medal Award at its Occupational Health and Safety Awards ceremony which is set to take place in Glasgow on Wednesday 17 September.

Stewart Milne Group’s success demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards. As well as accident records, the RoSPA awards programme looks at entrants’ health and safety management systems and winners must demonstrate a rigorous approach to occupational health.

Two of Stewart Milne Homes’ site managers have been recognised by the NHBC for achieving the highest standards in house building.

Greg Thompson, site manager at The Gardens at Crathes, scored a double triumph as he was awarded a Pride in the Job Quality Award at the Pride in the Job Awards 2015 and, shortly after, was highly commended at the NHBC Health and Safety Awards 2015.

Colleague Derek Gibson, from the builder’s Silver Birches development in Alford, was presented with the prestigious Pride in the Job Quality Award for the second year running.

To qualify for the Pride in the Job quality awards, Greg and Derek were shortlisted from over 15,000 site managers across the UK and excelled throughout 12 months of rigorous judging. To win, site managers must score highly for the quality of workmanship on their site at every stage of the build. They must also demonstrate excellent leadership, technical expertise and robust health and safety processes. Both will now go on to compete for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards.

Glenn Allison, chief executive officer of the Stewart Milne Group, said, “We are always striving to deliver developments finished to the highest standard and these awards are testament to this commitment. Receiving the RoSPA award for the sixth consecutive year is a great achievement for us and underlines our commitment to maintaining the highest standard of health and safety across our business.

“Having not one, but two, of our site managers recognised for their outstanding work is absolutely fantastic and we are thrilled for both Greg and Derek. These awards highlight the commitment and dedication of our staff in ensuring that every Stewart Milne home is designed and built to the highest standards of craftsmanship.”
